Friendly Places Training Event

Representatives of all faith groups and NHS Mental Health Professionals are invited to a Free training event

16th September 2015 10.00- 12.00 pm

The SEPT Conference Room, St.Margaret’s Hospital , The Plain , Epping, Essex. CM16 6TN.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS PARKING ON SITE BUT A PARKING TICKET WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED.

Members of the National FaithAction Charity will be speaking at this event hosted by Chaplaincy Dept & West Essex Mind & Spirit “Friendly Places ”

The training focuses on how faith groups and places of worship can ensure they are welcoming and accepting to people who might be struggling with their mental health.

The session is two hours long and covers:
  • Being a Friendly Place and introduction to the Friendly Places Pledge
  • Exercise: what a good welcome does and doesn’t look like
  • Facts and figures about mental illness
  • Action planning: what things could your group do to become a Friendly Place?
  • Signing the Friendly Places Pledge
  • Opportunity to network

There will be refreshments & opportunity for questions and discussion

This event is organised Hospital Chaplaincy Dept & West Essex Mind & Spirit Cluster Group A group made up of interested Colleagues, supporters and service users in West Essex, to explore issues in promoting Mental Health. We look forward to seeing you.
